Sean, we are not talking about Dennis...we are talking about Shane's Z06... Let me tell you a few FACTS about Shane's car (actually his brothers car).

1. 570 rwhp all motor (which is what he ran the 7.99 on). He has head work, all bolt ons and cams...
2. 150 shot of NOS on top, he made right at 715 rwhp on the NOS but ran out of NOS racing me on the way to the evnet...
3. My Supra, at FULL KILL, pulled on the Z06 from 60-160 by about 1 car, that's it, it was a damn good race. Of course if he was on motor, I would have killed him. To be honest, I was surprised I was able to slightly pull him as the Z does weigh less, is more aerodynamic and arguably should have jumped me...
4. I do not know how your 60-130 was sooooo darn good, probably a combination of air, driving skill, pavement, etc...

I know that DJ's bolt-on Z is as quick as Paulie's PE 700 GT2, so that should put him in the high 6 second range.

Thanks for the info, Jamie.
Peter,

As you would see if you read Scott's post, he was talking about DJ's car, as was I.

LOL Jamie, you don't know Shane! We had good runs and I barely edged him out. I didn't run 60-130 as I'm retired...

Sean, thank you so much for the clarification...I was going off Shane's 7.99 with 570 rwhp to Scott's 7.86 with 440 rwhp (stock). Oh, and your time is a product of 1,378,209,939 runs, undoubtedly one would end up good!

I assume you went into 5th and you still edged him out? 160 is still 4th in the Z....

Be honest, were you running more than 28 lbs?

Sean, yes, atleast I showed up and ran the damn thing, for nothing I might add!

Jamie - due to the old *** turbo/wg/3inch dp/recirc'ed wg/14 psi spring/stock head/etc...this turbo kit is maxed at 28 psi. Of course I could have put in a stiffer spring and probably made more boost but the car was choking in the higher RPM's... You can ask Justin, we tried cranking the boost controller and no matter what we did it would only hit 28 psi, even on the spray... It's simply choked. As I posted in another thread, you can see that on the spray I pick up almost 100 rwhp at low rpm and that 100 rwhp turns into 50 up top... And yes, I was in 5th gear...

Thanks.
Yep...I think several factors play a role for the 60-130 at this track. It's for sure not street tire (radial) friendly. This track usually has a pretty good head wind and yes the weather SUCKS at this time of the year.

Scott, I was amazed at your 60-130 as we discussed several months ago. Plain and simple I need to buy a drift box. I've got a perfect area close to the house the car will absolutely dead hook on. Much better than a greasy track, 7 ft above sea level and no head wind. That should result in much better times if I keep my shifts where they need to be.

I'm not too good at reading all the data on the graphs but I know on mine I was spinning hard at each upshift and peppering the tires hard in every gear (was on the stock RF Goodyears). I'm sure in the right conditions with better traction I could be up there with Paulie (although he hasn't ran this event yet) and what Sean's time is. I'd be happy with a high 6 for sure...

I would love to have the opportunity to run Shane in his higher HP Z just to see where we stand. His mods should produce a faster car for sure...

Sorry for the OT guys:

EC Lou or anyone;

What did that Blue Ruf RTurbo run at the TX MILE?

Did an Ruf RT12 Run at the TX MILE and if so what did it run?

I have listed the (3) fastest water cooled Porsches in the TX Mile: (as I understand it)

Tim from RPM Motorsports went 191.xxx mph (996TT)
Woodtster (me) went 190.734 mph (996TT)
Todd Zuccone in EVOMS 997TT (which I have actually driven!)went 190.094 mph

Marty these are the speeds I was told from the driver RT12 -181 and Rturbo- 186 and I think Eclou and Dr. Joe can vouge for the headwind they were running into that day.

Rturbo 181, RT12 183. Both times were back in 05/06 IIRC

So, if the RUF RTurbo ran a 8.7 60-130 and I ran a 8.40 60-130, is that any indication, I might be doing 180+ in the mile?

I realize the weather was different during my run, but I think a 8.7, even in this heat.
