Porsche of Huntington??

Hey friends,

I am thinking about buying a car from Porsche of Huntington in New York. Does anybody know anything about them or have had any experience with them?

Thanks
Chuck

Avoid that dealership like the plague; You will get screwed from start to finish. The general manager is not a straight shooter.

And for those of you that are thinking of using the service dept. at this dealership, be prepared to have your car damaged.

I had a hose leak and brought my car in for service. After 30 days I was told, "sorry, we can't find the problem we think you may have blown your turbo (I asked which one and apparently the service manager was not aware that the 996 turbo has two turbos). We know you modded your ECU and we have already reported you to PCNA." My car was stock at the time.

I walked out with a scratched up interior and broken glove box. I settled everything with PCNA and my car was repaired on PCNA's dollar. However, the whole thing was a mess.

Be sure to stay away from William Dickhut (the service manager at Porsche of Huntington). Your car will NOT be in good hands.

Silverstar on the other hand repaired the hose in 1 day with no problems what so ever. Silverstar may be a little expensive, however you will be treated well in both the sales and service department. Speak to Ardie in the sales dept. and Lana in the service dept.

Yes, I got my car there, my expierence was excellent, and I highly recomend them. I belive the salesman I delt with was named "Bianco" or "Bianca" (it was his last name).. the guy was really nice, and he was able to complete my putchase in just a few hours...

Service is different from sales.

Not at this dealership. The service dept. is very representative of the sales dept.

Obviously some may have had a good experience, however many people I have spoken with had very similar experiences to mine.

i agree with Dan on this one- the service and sales department are inept. stick with Silverstar -Artie is striaght shooter and remember where you purchase car flows right into building a solid service relationship. silverstar has the BEST service techs with Pete, Lenny, Tom and Adam at the reigns! Take it from me I've serviced with them since they opened...

I bought my Cayenne from Mark at Porsche of Huntington. He was excellent. The service department was horrendous. Bill D. is an idiot.

I brought my Cayenne in for correction of 4 items. I had to call to find out if my car was ready (which I would not have found out if I did not call). Once ai received the car, not one item was correct nor was any explaination given.

Sales, ok. Service, forget it.

twinvipers, which dealership to do have. I live in Smithown. Are you the dealer with all the vipers parked up front?

chuck, i dont want to be repetitive. BUT! i bought my car in huntington. sales was o.k. at best. service SUCKED at best.

i am very forgiving and service was always terrible. and they are a oneway street. and when i went to the sales manager to help resolve an issue. well to say the least, if it was the 80's i would have made him go away.. FED's are to agressive these days..!

i now get my service at silver star. and ive been very happy with lana SVC mgr. and tom the tech.... hope this all helps..

Ouch, thanks for all your input.

I guess the good thing is that I would not have to use them for service. I would have my service done here in Indiana where I have a great dealer. The problem is that Huntington has the car I want...argh

Listen, if you are buying the car and taking it out of state then what does it matter? As long as the car isn't F-up and it gets there as represented, then you are OK. If you need someone to go see it, just ask. I can probably take a ride there myself tomorrow if you need.
