Doesn't free flowing exhaust make less boost due to less backpressure? I bet the turbo is still pushing out the same amount of volume of air but since you have a free flowing exhaust, its spits it out faster causing less backpressure. But im not sure where the boost is actually measured or even how, which makes a difference.
