I also want to explore the Cargraphics exhaust as I do not want to go through these 2nd thoughts again. BTW, PM me and we can discuss price. List with enlarged X50 tips is $4500+, I had the exhuast installed Tuesday and have about 150 miles on it. Anyway let me know. I would need your stock tips though as I sent my old tips to europipe. Check out www.europipe.be for confirmation of my numbers. Unfortunately, they seem not to want to discount at all and I got the feeling they may not like doing business with americans. Although, they did give me great service.

I would have to disagree with that statement about doing business with Americans... When I inquired about the exhaust way back after Dan took the plunge first, I asked about my dual tips. They got back to me in 2 days and said they had decided that if I sent them, they would bore them out and return them. I asked what do I do in the mean time and they said, okay, we will just send you a set (on their dime) with the exhaust and you can return yours. They were not doing this at that time, now they do this as a standard. They had to go out and buy a set of tips, bore them out and send them to me hoping I would return mine. Can't think of many other companies that would do what it takes to get a sale and give the customer what they wanted. Great customer service and a very well built exhaust...

If you are interested, I have a B&B GT system for sale. It only has about 500 miles on it. Too loud for my preference. Went back to a more subdued system. List was $1,800. Make me a reasonable offer. The system is really well built with 100 cell cats.

Lou,

I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan and I have the Fabspeed loud exhuast. I could meet you halfway somewhere if you want to hear it in person. It is definately not for the faint of heart but I love it! My wife hates it! Oh well!

It is the best sounding exhaust for a turbo Porsche in my opinion very throaty and mean sounding. I get compliments all the time on the exhuast and people always no your car is not stock with the fabspeed.

It is loud inside even when cruising at a steady rpm but I wouldn't trade it for any other exhaust. It has been dyno proven to add 20 to 30 hp can't remember exactly.

Let me know if you want to hear it first hand! By the way I have the unichip and EVO DV's and EVO short shifter. The car has somewhere around 500 hp.

ps: I agree with Evan you guys are a bunch of wimps, FABSPEED FOREVER!

Are you suppose to send your old tips back for stage II? I just ordered mine and they didn't mention anything about it.
I didn't mean they were sassy. They actually gave me the best service I have ever received. What I should have said is that they are cautious when dealing with Americans. I just got the feeling someone screwed them and they wanted to be sure I didn't own my own business and it was for personal use etc.

I sent my tips back becuase they gave me a little money off the price and paid my shipping and insurance if I would send them my tips

buddyg,

I would love that, thanks alot. Let me know what is convenient for you and we can meet. If it is to much hassle to meet me halfway, I guess I can drive to you. I really appreciate it. PM me if it is possible.

I know you are joking around, but, does it really have so much resonance that you cannot carry on a conversation??!! Ear plugs to hear stereo OMG!

Very untrue, you can hear stero on setting of 2 (quiet), and I talk on my phone, and to passengers no problem. Its really not as bad as everyone is making it out to be....

Evan - I am only 23 so not that old !!! I dont mind the loudness just not all the time (this is my only car right now!!).
I actually got pulled over last night for the first time in a while and Im betting the loudness had something to do with attracting the attention....I wish there was a switch like the factory 996 sport exhaust to make it loud or quiet depending on the mood...
Anyway, I really want a quiet one now so if anyone is interested in a trade or soemthing let me know

Yeah, but you're alot younger than the rest of us! We'd need a Beltone upgrade to be able to hear both. (OK, I'm only 41, but after years of rock concerts, race cars, etc., my hearing isn't what it used to be.)

But seriously, with the loud, I couldn't hear the stereo until I turned it up past the point at which I could hear the radar detector! Acck! That's a big problem in Scottsdale, land of the speed trap (Macon county West).

Still, the loud system sounded absolutely phenomenal at WOT.

I hate to say it, but without hearing both, it's not really possible to make the right decision for your own situation. Todd at EVO was nice enough to let me listen to several different systems before finally deciding (on the Fabspeeed Sport, i.e., less loud but not exactly quiet system ).
