LA Sheriff caught me tonight....
Couldn't sleep tonight so I decided to take a little drive up to Palos Verdes and drive the windy roads. 1/2 mile from home I'm at a light when a car rolls up with a bunch of highschool kids. They're googling over the Turbo Cab and want to see it go. So being a good P-Car enthusiast I let her go off the line to "well" over the street speed limit. As I look in my rear view and the car of teenagers is disappearing I notice a second car jump out from a side street! I'm thinking "ohh this can't be good"!
I "feel" something in wrong so I slow down to the speed limit and watch carefully as the car keeps its distance for a few seconds then comes up on me like a bat out of hell! When he's a few car lenghts away he "lights" me up and I know I'm toast!!
L.A. Sheriff pulls me over walks up to the car and his first question is "what year is this car"? "2004 sir" I reply. He then says "what are you doing"? "Just having some fun". "License and registration please" and walks to his car to run my info.
He walks back, hands me my drivers license puts his flash light in the rear duct, walks around the car a few times looking it over carefully then says: "I realize that you just got the car "Rob" but you really shouldn't be speeding down the street, you should go somewhere else, but not on "my" street.
I said "Thank you Sir, I appreciate the warning" and was on my way! WOHOOO! No ticket! Man that was a close one. I'm sure he didn't get me on Radar since the V1 was on and on "full" alert! But the damn loud *** TechArt Sport Exhaust at full throttle woke up the entire block at 12:15am not to mention got the attention of the PoPo!!
For all you kids out there, let this be a lesson to you all. Always be nice to the PoPo and they might let you off with a friendly warning!!!

Cheers,
~Rob

Just to clearify, "well over the speed limit" in a 40mph zone equates to about 65mph. Speeding but not crazy fast. Hell, my name isn't "Miki"!
I can only hope to attain Miki status some day!
