Clutch????????????????

What upgraded clutch performs and acts like a stock unit. I am not looking for a 1000hp clutch, I need something upto 700 or so hp, I do not want anything noisy or difficult to use

Thanks

Christian,

Look at the clutch combo I pieced together in the link below. This clutch set-up I installed earlier this year is the perfect blend of stock drivability and holding power. I would look no further. You need the Sachs Motorsports high friction, full surface race disc and the Sachs 999 pressure plate. Send both to clutchmasters and they will upgrade the clamp force of the 999PP and index the disc and PP for a perfect installation. Retain your OEM DMF. You will love it!

stay with dual mass flywheel Christian for the stock feel.
I have accomplished alot of great performance with my heavy, easy to drive,
dual mass flywheel.
The set up that Kevin at UMW works very well. I got mine from Protomotive which
is the same set-up. Sharkey, or Stephen Kasper could easily help you also (closer to you).

Good luck and my suggestion is to keep the heavy dual mass flywheel.

I agree with staying with the dual mass flywheel. I kept mine and installed a Stage 3 Sachs setup from Stephen Kaspar. I've been absolutely thrilled with it thus far. It's as quiet as stock, but can hold anything I throw at it. It drives just like stock, but is approx. 20% grabbier. After you drive it for 250 miles (break-in period) you will be totally used to it. I was a bit apprehensive about it due to everything I had heard on the forums, but I'm glad I went ahead and installed it.

Keep the stock dual mass flywheel. If it is not wasted, dont replace it. If it is burned up, then buy a new one. The lightweight flywheel is great for race cars and does make a difference, but for a daily driver the chatter might annoy you.

We use the Clutch Master Stage 3 full disk clutch. CM uses Sachs components and then beefs up the Pressure Plate and Clutch Disk. Works awesome on the street and holds 700HP easily. http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/c...5-p-49671.html
