The rotors are ceramic. Lets them get to much higher temps. Guys I know who track their cars have taken them off because they go through parts too fast, and those parts are very expensive.

Good luck,

Jon

The calipers should all be yellow, with 6 piston front calipers and 4 piston rears. The rotors look like they have small fibers embedded in them and are dark grey in color, in contrast to shiny steel rotors.

Thanks Fast FWD and Landjet

Landjet the brakes are as you described. But are they a bettter brake? Worth the money?
Fast fwd, you mention your friends taking them off because they are expensive to repair. Do they work better than the stock brakes? Are your friends sorry they got the ceramic brakes?
Thanks, I'm getting close to buying the car. But you all know alot more about these cars than I do, and I dont know if I should get these brakes or not.
Thanks again
BTW I will not be tracking the car or racing it.

Ceramic brakes are great, but costly to replace. If you will not be tracking the car, the ceramics should last 150,000 miles. You will have to replace the pads though which are only available from Porsche. The larger 6 piston front calipers in themselves will give you superior stopping power. This is a sought after option which should increase the value of your car upon resale. Buy this car if all else is in order.
