Question Bleeding brakes question...

Finally getting a chance to bleed the brakes today...
Using the Motive bleeder... is there a hose I need to clamp like I have to do in my 964?? Last thing I want is to see these precious Castrol fluid all over my garage floor....
Thank you!!

The motive I purchased came with a adapter which screwed onto the master. It has a gasket so no fluid leaked. I was concerned because I had heard these leak. I also purchased a motive bleeder container which comes with a very flexible ( rubber) hose which just slipped over the bleeder. No leaks.
What type of fluid are you using?
I used ATE typ 200 gold.

To be honest I didn't notice much difference.

I have the bleeder bottles as well. And the adapter for the Porsche (screw on type)... So we are good there.

Just wondering the bleeding process for the 996TT. In particular about the hose to clamp. In the 964 I have to clamp a venting hose or the fluid would go straight to the floor.

If this is not the case with the 996TT then it should be an easier task.

I am using Castrol SRF Synthetic Racing Brake Fluid…

You do not need to clamp anything . The 964 has an overflow line that needs to be clamped to hold pressure the 996 TT does not.
hope thats clear.
