Drove one at Mosport before moving to Miami in 1994. The car can be tricky and a handfull. The turbo does come on VERY abruptly , shifting is a challenge at times. Very quick on the Andretti straight. I found braking quite good that day. The car was a real challenge for me to drive 7 tenths around Mosport. One of my attornies who owned the car, took it out after my 10 laps or so. After his second lap if I re-call going down in to corner 2-a he lost it and went through the tires and crunched the wall.

Right rear spindle broke.

Three or Four people over there have one ... just find out who and PM them ... on these expensive cars first hand OWNER experience and knowledge is the best ... not I had ride in one ... there are many expensive upkeeps with maintanence that should be done or will need to be done which would help negotiate the price ...

Bum, yes born and raised there. Worked for Pfaff and Heimrath. Used to run Ludwigs race team from Turbo Cup and Firehawk Series. So we did a lot of testing and private events there. I am so glad the new owners of Mosport put some serous $$$ in the track . After the Firehawk series, Mosport went to the ****s. Too much politics.

Canaska ? Hell I remember them . Forgot the young owners name. BAD MEMORY !!. Nice as hell. Always a class act .On and off the track.

What was his name again ?? Greg something ???

That is my personal favorite F-car. Avoid garage queens. Those cars are 13-15 years old and the ones that have been sitting will have a lot of dried out rubber parts. This could get very, very expensive to "fix". I would look for a car that was not abused but excersized regularly. Some guys have been looking for years to find just the right car. Expect to pay around 300K for a nice car.

Victor Sifton, great guy. Used to be great friends, I was up there all the time, he ran in the Porsches/Vipers/Panoz division, he used to drive aswell as own the team

He had Andretti's son as a driver for a few years, it was a pure hobby. You could always spot Vic because he was the only one with 1 sponser on the car and had a $1.5m Tour Bus for the team, everyone else had RV's.. hah

I havent been up there in ages, is the track looking good?

You ever driven an F50. Looks wise it is by far my favorite. I have never had the pleasure of driving a F40 or F50, but, looks wise, the F50 is my favorite Ferrari of all.

From what I understand, you have to pay serious attention when those turbo's hit. I remember hearing a story about a guy driving on cold tires and when the turbos hit, he ended up wrecking the car!

Thats right . Victor Sifton. Always a great guy. I remember him taking Ludwig and us out and getting hammered after a race. Would never let us pay our share of the bill. Crazy little ****.

I will be going to Mosport with Fiorano Racing next year for some test and tune days and some races. We are going to race in the Grand Am Cup series together. I am helping them build a car for JF Dumulein and David Murray.

When are you here in Miami next ??
