Tuning UMW 1/4 mile

Since I am new to the Denver area, I have no clue where the good roads are so I decided that in order for Kevin to get the proper tune on my car, I was going to run Bandimere raceway and tune the car. So I went on Wednesday and waited 90 minutes in line I had the computer with the durametrics hooked up to the car, and good ole durametrics decided it wasn't going to work, so I wasted 90 minutes in line plus 30 bucks. So, since I did not have a helmet, I decided to short shift every gear and shift into 4th about 100 ft from the line and coast in so that I would get a 14 second 1/4 mile and be able to run the car again with the program running.

It did not work, even with short shifting 600 rpm below redline and backing off the throttle 100ft before the line, I still went under 14 seconds, F%$&!!!!!

Here is what I ran...for those interested.

Reaction time 1.070
60' 2.189 seconds...I babied the car off the line from just above idle
1/8 mile 8.445 seconds at 90 mph
1/4 mile 12.82 seconds at 103 mph.

The 1/4 mile speed should have put me close to 14 seconds, but I should have backed off several hundred feet before.

is 90 mph in the 1/8 mile pretty good for not redline shifting?
