I am thinking of a Fabspeed exhaust for the TT or GT2 and was wondering who has thier system, which version of it? any problems setting off sensors in the car? any performance gains? any opinions or advice is greatly appreciated. TIA

 

I have the super sport system (loud), and couldn't be happier...
The exhaust look as though it were great qualtiy (I am no mechanic but looked good). The sound is incredible low RPMS is a deep growl, and at WOT: oh boy look out . Has a great throaty growl at WOT, and I have never heard a better sound... I have had no problems with the exhaust (no lights tripped or anything). I love it and wouldn't have it any other way...

I had it on my AWD Turbo. Loved it, had a very deserving sound for its sinister looks and power. For the GT2, I am considering the Fabspeed Quiet or RUF.

 

I have the loud and although it was too loud the first day it has grown on me since!! Love the burble on decel and the pop when shifting after WOT!! So addictive!! I keep flooring it to hear my exhaust. One downside is that the loudness attracts cops!! I got pulled over the day I got it and have been followed twice by cops for a couple of mile since (just bugging me!!)

 

Sounds like someone might do the right thing and keep it??? . I am lucky, cops down here don't bother people about little things like exhaust, tint, etc. (knock on wood).

I was looking at getting an EVOMS stage 2. On their web site it appears as though thier exhaust system is FabSpeed. Can anyone verify this? If so is it a Sport (quiet) or Super Sport (loud) version.

Nope, Evo has their own exhaust I had an Evo exhaust on my car before the Fabspeed (came on it)

It is the Fabspeed, although they also offer other systems too.

I have the not as loud (sport) version. I wouldn't call it quiet, but it is quieter.

For a track car (of if I was 20 years younger ), I'd go with the super sport (loud). For my daily driver the sport version seems to work better for me.

 

looks like everyone is REALLY happy with the Fabspeed. I have the cargraphics and love it. It has a nice whistle to it. I might want something a little louder though.

If I decide to go with the Fabspeed Loud version will my TechArt Tips work on this exhaust.

Where is the best place to get it and at a great price.

I got the loud installed this past weekend. It's awesome! However, if you're worried that it might be too loud for you, then it IS too loud for you. Before I got it, I thought surely people had exaggerated about how loud it is, but trust me it's really that loud. Lucky for me that's how I like it!

As for performance gains - I can't really tell. Certainly will not be a dramatic difference.

 

The performance gains really come once you are at or above 500 rwhp. That is where the Fabspeed systems really shine.

What do the techart tips look like? While I'm in the market for something a little different, I might as well look at them too...

 

They are just like the X54 tips.... They come in black and chrome. The main difference, is that the exhaust comes out of only the big hole, instead of the middle and making the middle piece turn black. I am now considering the Techarts since the X54 are on back order.... Only problem is that the Techarts are $860....
