I've got a 2001 996tt with sat nav. I believe there are two versions of the PCM 1, is this true ?
I recently got hold of some update discs and maps for the PCM1 but it says there is an error ?
Lets say mine is the old version, if I get an update disc v1 will I still be able to use the 2008 maps disc ?

There is a listing of the different version on renntech.org.

On my 2001, the updated disks were version 2001.1. I beleive yours should be the same if you have the Nav with the cassette player.

 

Just been told the 8 bit version cannot be updated. Doh
