What is this???

I had the rear wheels off the car to have a wheel that was damaged autocrossing repaired and found this broken piece.

It's on the drivers side only and looks like a sensor that has a plastic rod that connects to the lower control arm. The plastic piece that's connected to the control arm is broken so the connecting rod is just hanging free.

What does it do? Is it part of PSM?

Its a compression angle sensor for the Head Light Beam adjustment. there is one on the left front also.

tursibo996 is infamous around these parts
He said the rear wheels, not the front. The headlight angle linkage is on the front. I had the same issue with my car on the rear sensor linkage, and it is in fact for PSM. It is cheap and they normally have it in stack at the dealership.

I think you are thinking of the body acceleration sensors for PASM not psm, there are two body acceleration sensors , 1 front and 1 rear that are for adjusting the settings of the dampers. It is indeed a level sensor for the headlight beam adjustment, and a note to the original poster, the mounts on the control arms and the sensors are identical front to rear, the pushrods are different. if you replaced the sensor you will need to take it to the dealer to recalibrate the computer. If you just broke the plastic mount you can take care of that yourself in your garage. Psm takes inputs from longitudinal acceleration sensors, latittudinal acceleration sensors, DME inputs and ABS module inputs, it doesnt care about the rake of the body.
