Question TT suspension different than regular 996?

Does the TT have a different shocks and other suspension parts than the regular 996 or C4S? What parts are different?

Does X50 introduce any more difference?

Thanks.

I can attest to this; I moved from 996 to 996 Turbo, and the ride and feel is completely different. 996 feels more like a luxury car; 996TT feels more like a sports car.

Sincerely,
Paul

There are a number of differences between the C4s and TT suspension - I have a Porsche publication at my office and will give the details. From memory - the frt wheel bearings are enlarged from 75mm to 80mm on the TT.

Not sure what the technical differances are but the feal of my 2000 C4 is quite differant than my 2002 TT. As one of the other posted stated the TT is more sporty and the C4 was more cushy.

Bond,

You are right! The wheel bearings are different.

Please post the rest. I am very interested in what made the rides different between C4S and TT besides the hourse power.

Thanks.

Ok here are a few differences between C4s and TT suspension and associated parts:

US TT is 10mm lower than US C4s
Rear Axle Crossmember diff
Springs diff
Shocks diff
Sway bars diff
Larger and stronger front whl bearing hsg (75mm vs 80mm)
Front whl bearing hsg shaped for better brake cooling

PSM software different for TT than C4s

Front axle final drives are identical for both cars, but multi-disc viscous clutch is specifically adapted to TT and inner splines have been changed to prevent interchanging with the standard C4s multi-disc viscous clutch.
