BMC Filter: Cleaning and re-oiling

Has anyone ever had MAF issues after cleaning and re-oiling a BMC filter.

Here is the link to the instructions:

I just took mine out and cleaned it. It is drying rigt now.

This thing was so dirty I must have lost power. How often are you supposed to clean it?

I don't want to kill my MAF with too much oil.

How much oil does it need?

The guys at IA told me to clean it with brake cleaner, let it dry, then put on minimal if any oil.

You're better off not oiling it but wash it more often to compensate.
