Front smashed in parking lot...excuse to upgrade front end?
Front smashed in parking lot...excuse to upgrade front end?
A couple of weeks ago a lady in her SUV comes whipping around a corner into my car. She wasn't looking, I stopped and honked, but she kept coming. The damage consists of front passenger fender, headlight, lip, and possibly the bumper. Not that major as far as accidents go, but what a bummer. My car has a unusual color and it really sucks that the paint will no longer be original up front. To add insult, her insurance company can't get her to make a statement and so they claim they can't make a judgement on who is at fault. I took pics but she moved her car immediately after impact.
But that's not why I am making this post. I want some feedback. I've had the GT2 look bumper for a while and I'm actually tired of it. Should I return the car to stock or go for something entirely different? I love the look of jags911tt, and I saw a 997TT body kit that was gorgeous but the thread disappeared. If I were to ever do it, now is the time. Post your recommendations and pics.
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks Dan. What parts are needed besides fenders, headlights and bumper? I would not want the stock 997TT bumper at all, would have to go GT2 or aftermarket.
I wanted to do that on my yellow one. I did not get a chance though
I think on yours the GT3 would look clean. If you did not want to spend all the money and do the hood, fenders, and lights, just the bumper that works with the 996TT headlights. I like this one. Then add the hood grill in carbon which is a Porsche OEM part.

I will suggest full Techart, front, side, spoiler and rear bumper maybe. With your special color, it will look really nice. You can get the idea from Jag's TT. Not sure about 997 front, if you want conversion, it need to be do it all the way like Vince's "Green Turbo" 997TA GT street. It will like coming out from chop shop if you only do the front.
