Putnam Park Track Weekend (Pics)
Putnam Park Track Weekend (Pics)
After a struggle with diverter valves this past week, the car performed great this weekend. This was also the first time out since installing the GT-3 front control arms. That made a HUGE difference. The car was just on rails!
Some photos below. It rained most of the way there, and I had to drive through an area where they are laying a new pipeline, so the car got covered with mud, despite being on the trailer. The guy behind me in the second pic kicked my butt in the rain. Somehow my Hoosiers just weren't up to the task on a wet track. Sure was fun though, to turn off the PSM and slide around.
A student offered to let me drive his GT-3 for a session. Couldn't pass that up! It is a really different car from the turbo. It slides and catches amazingly easily. He had Toyo Proxes tires, which certainly feel a lot different from the Hoosiers on my car.
I'm done for the year. Thanks to everyone who helped me on car setup, especially Mikelly, Oak and Tom Kerr, and Dan at Vivid Racing.
