last night i road raced a viper check the story!!!
my goal is not to give him a hard time, just to get him to think a little... we've all probably done something really stupid in our cars at some point or another, i know i have. as special as our vehicles are to us... this is his wife and kid man... just think about the best case scenario, you beat the **** out of that viper and you feel like a king... i won't even compare that to worse case scenario...
That's the dumbest story I've read on any board in a long time. You put your entire family in danger. Did you even consider the wildly different handling and braking characteristics your car could exhibit with 4 people in there?
Anyway, regardless of how senseless the act of racing with your family in the car with you was, you said you were "behind" the Viper. You were drafting him. Try pulling alongside him next time and fight the wind yourself.

I like what you did and give you the props since I raced motorcycles before. I would have done it if the timing was right and have done it. Congrats to you, Vipers should not pass Porsche's this is US. Next time be safe with the family bro.

Sorry to here this story, But very happy you made it home with your family. I hope your 16 yr old son will not fellow in your footsteps. Sorry but that was not cool.
I've been egged on several times with the family in the car or at least one other family member in the car and that's the pont where you need to be a man and show your kids the right thing to do. Any a-hole can step on the throttle. Takes a real person to say to themselves "this is not the right time". Damn it be careful!!!!
