Hey all. My name is Gabe and I am the newbie on this forum.

Of late I have grown interest in buying a 996 Turbo and was hoping I could ask for some assistance. I currently have a 99 Viper GTS that I'm considering selling to buy a 2001-2003 (or so) 996T. I was wondering if anyone could offer me some insight into what to look for and to possibly stay away from as it relates to the different years, maintenance challenges, driveline issues, etc. I'm also a little curious about people's thoughts on buying modded cars where there's been a RWD conversion done. I used to drive a high hp AWD street/strip import and loved AWD and I've seen some conversions and wasn't sure what the general consensus is out there.

02- cars were prone to a second gear popout. Could be expensive to fix if it wasn't remediated under warranty.
