Help on Milltek muffler installation!

Man I swear either the muffler is short by 1/4" each side or the donut that join the muffler together is 1/2" too small! I have removed and installed the exhaust 3 times. It's getting to me! I know I have to join the muffler together before bolting down the cat and straps on the muffler. What am I doing wrong? Is it normal to have leaks on that area? The only thing I haven't tried is to loosen the trubo. Oh, I even removed a bolt that hold the heat shield so it doesn't interfered with the muffler strap hold down on the car. Man I am stress!

Thanks. I finally forced the muffler on. I thought it will be a better fit. Tightening the donut piece that connect the two muffler at 60-70% and force the cat into the turbo. It got up to a point that I didn't care anymore! No leak for now, let see if all that forcing will cause other problems. I am a rookie working on Porsche but have worked as a technician for Honda and Acura Dealers for many years. If I was still working at the dealer and a customer brought this in, I would definitely recommend another muffler company. Pounding, prying, forcing, kicking, screaming and cursing is just not what I call good fitment. Then again it might just be my muffler, everyone seem to be fine.
