Proto 18g,wont hit 1.2bar goes Dead Pedal at WOT
Gotcha, so, to run 93 fuel, we need to get more fuel into the engine using larger injectors and fuel-pumps. How much HP can you get with 18g turbos and all the fuel mods on 93 octane ?
you need fuel for more boost not less....
my point is, at 1.1 bars your set up will run pretty close wiht a full set up... its only after 1.2 bars that matters .....

I just finished running a local tuned 996tt touching 1.3bar with injectors. We were head to head the whole run, did it twice, no real difference. I am thinking 50 to 100 HP differences are the ones you will really notice. Now i am just looking for tire sizing to get a little more meat on my wheels for track use. toyo r 888 315/30/18, 235/40/18 ? do they make 35 and 45 series sizes ?
very little difference... you are still running 1.1 bars of boost... the main advantage is the bigger ICs, Y pipe etc... not the injectors and pump....
you need fuel for more boost not less....

Yes, my injectors are just insurance for my pump gas tune (for running lean)and room to grow when I turn the boost up with fuel...very soon...
93 octane is the only thing limiting the amount of boost I run. Oh yeah and my bottom end...
I don't wanna bad them on the forum, but XX has/had a bad reputation, as far as not being careful on the dyno. I've heard of WAY too many car breaking in their shop. That's why I didn't want Ethan to tune my car because he uses them. The guy that USED to do their tuning is Chris from EFI Logics, the email I sent you. Also, as you know all dynos are different, period. Whatever you dyno on, that dyno makes NO difference if you ever dyno anywhere else. You have to ALWAYS dyno at the same dyno to see the difference from mod to mod. You're car might make 500whp on their dyno but only make 485 on another dyno. Doesn't matter which dyno you use, just make sure you stick with the SAME dyno...apples to apples. If you are just going to use them to make a few runs to check HP at different boost levels, and you are there watching them...you should be OK. I don't think I would let anyone but Tony touch my car. BTW, he has a dyno day coming up Dec. 9th, just for fun...you could run your car then, I am going to.

gotcha, i too am waiting for Tony, so lets see if we can make our way there. Ethan was telling me/ us about XX, i know they dont do much for 996tt's that i know of, They said they are using Revo software.
I think we're on for Friday, just have to verify the time. My calendar is open now...
