Question: How much does making a pass and immediately making another pass hurt the ET/MPH on the 996TT? I have B6 intercoolers, but I'm not sure because I know NA cars do lose time if you hot lap the car. I made a 1st -> beginning of 4th gear pull and let out because I thought I was at the end of the track... Long story... But as SOON as I got my time slip I got back in line and made a pass within about 5 minutes (had to wait in line for a sec).

bro I made at least 10 passes one after another on the day I hit 10's of which I think I got 3-4 10 sec passes in the 15 min bracket.... I was the first one on the track and went bullistic.... everyone in their hot rods were prepp'n, unloading trailers and I went back to back... I didnt even go all the way around I would go down track and U turn(not supposed to) right back into the stage lights.... back to back... the guy at the lights was ..doesnt your car need some cool off period and I simply grinned and said what do you think.. ??? 10 sec passes all day bro!! Mind you.... it was cool day and I too have the b6 coolers....

Ok just wanted to make sure I wasn't hurting anything. After that pass I let it idle a minute or so and shut it off. I usually let it cool down after driving it hard.

I go back to back as well and usually get the best times on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th run...then the track surface begins to deteriorate and a good 60' time gets more difficult.

Kinda like John D said, I've had the best luck on the first five passes. After that it just doesn't have it in it, even with a good 60'.

Chris, any idea how much fuel you burn on one pull? A half gallon

This all makes me feel better Dmaffo/Powell as much of your back and forth has given me answers to questions I have had but forgot to ask. Impressive trap Chris, and I 100% agree that everytime I leave the track I am asking myself what I need to try next time different from this time. Who would have ever thought launching these cars would take so much concentration?
