Codes fixed and more boost??

I purchased my stock 02 996tt (non-x50) in Feb 2008 which I run every weekend . Last week I experienced my first CEL ran Durametric and got P1250 & P1109 with no other lights.

I took the car to my Indy and he found one of my IC hoses with a 2'" slit replaced it and so far (today) problem solved.

Here is where it gets weird... I purchased the car from the original owner who told me he never modified it. In my 10 months of ownership the car never ran past .7 bar consistently.

I pick up the car today with the replaced IC hose ran it for a while then hit it in 3rd and 4th to make sure it was not in .4 bar limp mode (it was after the CEL) and the car reached 1.1bar and 1.2bar every time and felt muchoooo FASTER !

How could this happen???

Is it safe on 91 octane, 5000 ft altitude and stock DV's????

After 10 months of ownership the car feels like a MONSTER but I don't understand how this could happen and now I am worried I can blow my engine.

Please give me your opinions.
