The heavy winds hit early this morning and it also a bit breezy. I hope that the tornados stay away being I am on the NE quadrant. Otherwise... just a perfect day to polish the Porsche!

Hang in there Evan...

It is heading west across the state now right at me!!

Evan only 80mph? That will break many windows.... Be happy if that is all that happens in 80mph winds... Just the fact you still have power is great!!!

It is really nasty here this morning and getting worst throughout the day... Thank god for Dunkin Donuts.... I knew they would be open this morning......

Can't wax my car today

Hi Guys,
I join you from the world of Dial-up as we lost Cable and Hi-speed internet overnight.... We through some boxes in front of the broken window so all is good with that. I finished a 7min long video of during the hurricane and all the damage from today (there is A LOT of damage). As soon as I get hi speed net back I will upload it for you guys!!
Looks like the storm is right over Tampa right now, so I hope everything is ok for you Gary.
Later guys,
Evan

Just got phone service back, not to bad here. A couple of blown down trees, lost power for about 3 hours and phone down for 6 hours.

Another Hurricane on the way "IVAN".

Well,... thanks to Francies, we got water damage that knocked out ALL MY F@#&ING wiring to telephones, surround sound system, internet etc.......when the ceiling fell appart !!!

A$$hole landlord did not have full insurance on building. So he wants us to pay for repair. F@#K HIM !!!!

Thankfully, we will relocate in a better area that we are now looking at.

Glad everyone is OK and the damage is less than expected.

I'm due out on the 11th from England, after being cancelled on the 5th due to the airports shutting.

I come over just about every year to the states on holiday and have always wondered why the buildings aren't built a little stronger. Afterall Florida regularly gets pounded with 100mph+ hurricanes, yet everyone lives in mobile homes and wooden houses that get turned into matchwood - surely this is not helping.

Why aren't houses required to have some sort of toughened or sefety glass in the windows, for example?

Just my 2c thoughts.

Guy
