Thats cool.. I have never been in a hurricane, although I have my fair share of big earthquakes living in so cal for a while... be safe man, hopefully everyone will be fine, and there will be minimal damage to florida...
The heavy winds hit early this morning and it also a bit breezy. I hope that the tornados stay away being I am on the NE quadrant. Otherwise... just a perfect day to polish the Porsche!
Hang in there Evan...

Evan only 80mph? That will break many windows.... Be happy if that is all that happens in 80mph winds... Just the fact you still have power is great!!!
It is really nasty here this morning and getting worst throughout the day... Thank god for Dunkin Donuts.... I knew they would be open this morning......

Can't wax my car today
Hi Guys,
I join you from the world of Dial-up as we lost Cable and Hi-speed internet overnight.... We through some boxes in front of the broken window so all is good with that. I finished a 7min long video of during the hurricane and all the damage from today (there is A LOT of damage). As soon as I get hi speed net back I will upload it for you guys!!
Looks like the storm is right over Tampa right now, so I hope everything is ok for you Gary.
Later guys,
Evan

Glad to have you back Britt.... And just think you were not even near the storm center.....
Keep your heads up... So far it looks like Ivan is coming to visit some of us also.....
Look like it will be stronger than Francis although maybe not as wide... Maybe....

Glad everyone is OK and the damage is less than expected.
I'm due out on the 11th from England, after being cancelled on the 5th due to the airports shutting.
I come over just about every year to the states on holiday and have always wondered why the buildings aren't built a little stronger. Afterall Florida regularly gets pounded with 100mph+ hurricanes, yet everyone lives in mobile homes and wooden houses that get turned into matchwood - surely this is not helping.
Why aren't houses required to have some sort of toughened or sefety glass in the windows, for example?
Just my 2c thoughts.
