Lower Trim Removal

Gang:

Anyone have the DIY steps for removing the lower trim on the front, sides and back of the C4S/Turbo?

Anyone have a picture of a Red one with painted lower trim?

I think he is talking about the lower black pieces such as the rocker panels, the front spoiler, and the lower part of the rear bumber

TT, your right. Thinking of painting them with my spoiler. Just want to see if there is a DIY so as to not run into any gotchas.

Nothing tricky with the rocker panels--just remove all the screws you see, incluing the screws in the rear fender.

There are a series of clips that hold the top edge of the rocker panel flush with the body--with the screws loose, I just pulled it away from the body with my fingers and used a thin screw driver to push in on the clips a little.

At least on mine, the black pieces on the bottom of the rear bumper are rivetted on--don't know if you want to remove them. It's easier to pull the whole rear bumper off the car--there are posts from awhile ago that walk you through the bumper removal process. Easy to do.

Front chin spoiler is easy--remove screws and pull forward on it, not down. It sort of snaps into a channel in the front bumper.
