Got the Car Back Today (Pics)

Got the car back today. I had a GT2 front bumper with CF lip, GT2 rear decklip with CF wing and CF hood installed. Picked up the parts from MA Shaw and had the body work done by Hukill Motorsports. Hukill also changed the sidemarkers and painted the rear bumperettes. I'm currently trying to track down some anodized black mesh as I think the silver is a little much. I was going to paint the grill, but a few hundred miles on the freeway and the rock chips would have ruined the finish.

I also had a Remus exhaust, B&M SSK and PSS9's installed. Thanks to CDOC for the Remus and B&M. Vision Motorsports did the mechanical work including the mounting and alignment of the Formula GT's.

Tomorrow the car goes to Lucent so Arling and Tom can fit the CF steering wheel with silver crest horn pad, CF shifter and CF Ebrake. They will also add some spacers to the rear wheels since I was dumb enough to purchase wheels with the wrong offset from ebay.

Next week the ECU goes to Upsolute and some other interior bits will be added. Upgraded turbos may also be in the near future.

What do you guys and gals think? Also, should I paint the CF hood? Should I get a hood crest? Should I get a turbo script of some kind for the back? If anything, I was thinking of the CF script. Do you think CF air ducts behind the doors would be too much? Thanks for any input.

What suspension set up are you running? And what width and offset are the rear Tech Art wheels? You car looks awesome.

Thanks,

Keith

I'm running PSS9's. I'm not sure what setting it's on currently. We're still tinkering with it.
I was told by Arling at Lucent that the offset is 52 which is for a narrow body 996. I should have gotten the 25 offset, but I didn't know any better at the time of purchase. I believe the rears are 19x11 with 315/25/19s.

Great looking car! You defintely should paint the front mesh black though. The silver makes it look cheap.

Thanks for the response. I asked cause I've wanted to make the switch to PSS9's but I've held off due to the fear of my rear wheels rubbing against the fenders. I'm currently running 11" Tech Art's with Conti SC2's 315 tires in the rear with a 25 mm offset and I'm worried about them rubbing. Based on your photos your rear wheels looked like they fit just right. I may need to call Arling.

Thanks

Car looks great... I agree that the mesh should be black instead of silver, and the quad exhaust tip looks hot. A silver crest on the hood could complete the look. And personally, I like the CF... would not paint over it.

Looks amazing. Keep the hood unpainted, looks HOT! The mesh is a bit...I don't know the right word...stand outish? Since the car is so dark...it seems a bit out of place. What about painting the mesh black? Beautiful job!!

With the 25mm offset you will need to roll the fenders. I'm going to go with a 15mm spacer to start and go from there.

Thanks for the replies. The mesh is definately overkill. I have an order for some anodized pieces so I won't have to worry so much about rock chips.
