Euro 2002 Gt2
The GT2 is very much a misunderstood car, this is what is causing the value to drop to these levels. Those who have driven for any period of time know that it is the best performing iteration of the 911, period. At these prices, it is a much better value than even a GT3. For what it lacks in nimbleness vs. a GT3, it makes up for in its power and balanced performance.
Try finding a clean '02 US model with 1000 miles for $125K. Not gonna happen!
I for one would not sell my car for $135K! What in the hell would I possibly replace it with? It is one of the finest Porsches ever made, period. And certainly my favorite 996 other than the GT3-RS.
It has 90% of the CGT performance at less than 1/2 the price, that's what matters to me.

3 years ago, up here in Emeryville, an enthusiast imported a sliver/black GT2 with 2500KM. He was asking $220K. Actual price exchanged just last year was alittle over $110,000. (I know the parties) That was a year ago! A few factors to consider: 1.) it will and always be a gray market car. 2.) it's not a rare model like a '97 GT2. It's a model that was offered also in the U.S. 3.) The 996 chassis is an exiting model. 4.) Every year you will need to smog it, and here in CA, it's very difficult to register gray market cars. I know because we've done a few. 5.) you will need to find someone who will and can service it RIGHT, 6.) you will need to get it registered, perhaps bring it to US/DOT spec, 7.) finally understand that the Euro models were designed for higher octane fuel than the 91 crap we get in CA. All in all, I'd make a counteroffer at $85,000-90,000 TOPS. It sounds crazy low but ask those who've decided to import gray market Ferraris and those owners will tell you apple to apple, a gray market car is worth less than the US model. I'm willing to bet the owner will consider somewhere in the middle. Don't let the fact that it's a GT2 intimidate you and your offer. Understand you will be inconveniened while owning this car. Finally in the 2nd hand market, your car will have been considered 3rd hand and any 2nd hand 996TT with X50 will sell for the same if not higher amount. Just my 2 cents. Happy deciding!
sold mine in back in March for $118,000.00. It had under 500 miles. 100 - 110 should be a good buy.

I feel that many GT2s were purchased by the wrong type of buyers, seems many desperate sales out there to just move out of the cars, the market is way to soft for what the car offers the right driver, I agree with Tysen, what would you be able to replace it with?, and try finding a 10 out of 10 car for those quick sale prices, not going to happen.
