Good Info for fellow Chicago-land 6speeders!!!
So maybe some one can benefit from my little tire misfortune today that made me discover a nice Goodyear tire/auto service shop on 7034 W Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60707.(773)622-4361
Well, they were able to track down a tire for me quite rapidly (within 2 hours) and once I was there talking to the guy (Freddie) doing work on my car, he started talking Porsches.
At first I thought he is full of it like most of the young punnks working at tire shops, but than we started talking Allignments, after a minute I knew he is the real deal. He brought it up that one shop keeps bringing him porsches, so I was out to investigate
I talked to the Sales Manager Chris and the Store Manager Don, Chris promissed me that they can do allignments from $64-$100 depending on how much work they need to do to get it right which is a steal since the Stealers charge $350-$600. (Freddie mentioned they will do porsches with custom Camber Plates)
To add to their Credibility, I was really curious to find out who sends them the work, well, I did get the info but I will not disclose more publicly than the fact that it's a race shop in Franklin Park.
I also talked to them about ressering the steering sensor and they said that they cannot reset it however they mentioned that unless there was extensive work done to the Steering Rack, column, that it doesn't need to be touched.
