VSS is pink/gray iirc....since you didnt have factory nav, my guess is the best place to get it is from the relay panel.

My old Porsche sounded fine running the stock bose amp so giving that a try first may save some cash.

I am using the stock amp, itrs not great, but its ok. I will eventually find a nice a|d|s amp :-)
