Has anybody put the OEM GT2 exhaust on the TT? Results in performance and sound?
I am told fitment is straight forward without issue.

Yes - my tech tried it for a customer..
X50 exhaust and GT2 share the same part number....It is a bit louder but if you really want an upgrade go aftermarket with less weight and less restrictive cats
