tire recommendations (revisited)
Check out the new Generals and Eagle F-1, if you can get them in your size. Otherwise, stick with the Michelin PS2s. Yeah, they're expensive, but those four little rubber patches are your only link to the road! As for using them in cold weather, I've managed to get around (albeit slowly) in the snow and slush in the hills of Seattle, so while they're not rated for cold weather, they'll do in a pinch.
I've run Nitto 555RII on my Lexus and liked the tire. Did a couple of events at Road Atlanta. Wet weather performance is fairly good but not excellent. NT-01 is pretty bad in the wet if you hit standing water.
If I were in the market for high-performance street tires at this time, I would buy the new Nitto NT-05. Wet performance is rated very good.

i've decided to go with the michelins. Is anyone running the ps2's on oem rims? what are your thoughts?
Interestingly, the ps2's are N3 for the rears, but not N rated for the fronts. I'm trying to decide between the pilot sport ribs (which i currently have) or the ps2's, which are a little more $ and are not N rated for the fronts? thanks for your input.
