Just saying "Hi"

I just want to start by saying that I don't have a 996tt YET!

I'm in the market for a car and have spend quite some time on this forum the past week or two reading all about the 996tt. It's always been my dream to own a Porsche let alone a turbo. I'm waiting for some real estate to sell then will bite the bullet. I've been a big Audi fan and was looking into the RS4 but since I have a B5 S4 I kinda wanted something faster than it when it goes STGIII and the RS4, although an amazing car just doesn't seem like it would cut it enough. On top of that I want a truely trackable car. Besides those reasons I've also been thinking of a SCed e46 M3, since they've always been a love too... But compaired to a Porsche I'm not too sure!

Anyways I've been lurking here for awhile now and just wanted to say hi because I may ask questions in my research when i can't find it STFA and google. Everyone here seems very nice and helpful and I'm hoping to get to know you all a bit more!

On to my first question, whats everyone's experiences with a modded ~600bhp 996tt with a RWD conversion? I can't help but shake the feeling that with the engine back there and so much power to the rear wheels it would slip right around if you're too hard throtle on after an apex. Thanks!

Oh and one last thing, on Audizine first post pretty much require pics so here are the obligatory pics!

And the cars I generally hang out with.

Plenty of good deals around right now.Just picked my 02 996tt a couple of weeks ago.I also initially thought about a zcp e46 for my new toy,but better deals on tt's tilted the scales & I do not regret it one bit. These cars are in another league-you will not be disappointed w/ a tt

Keep the all wheel drive feature. It does amazing on the track. Welcome and good luck with your search.

Get a 996TT and you'll be kicking a$$ and taking names with your usual crew. My last car was a red B5 S4 stage 1. It is quieter and softer than the 996. The turbo is in a different world of performance. Good luck with the search.

Thanks for all the responces guys! I take my car to AWE tuning because they're about 30 min away from my house and I took my TT there and now the S4 and have never had wrong done by them. I stopped by today on my way home and talked to my salesman there. He said keep the AWD as well. If I was going to go to the strip, RWD would be great, but on the track he said the AWD does wonders. He also said on their inhouse 996tt they haven't had issues of their center diff slipping at over 600bhp. What's the limit for it? Thanks!
