2005 996 S Instrument Cluster

Has anyone had one of these in bits or apart, maybe to replace the dials with different color after market dials? I am trying to get some information before ripping mine apart.

I really do not like the boost gauge on this car. At WOT when you need it the most you have to take your eyes completely off the road to see it. Then you have to read it, and in most cases convert it to PSI. This gets a lot worse if you track your car. (Which I will/do not)

I have in the past designed a podless In-Dash boost gauge for Audi, VW, Nissan and Volvo racers. I placed it in the Speedo or Tach which can clearly be seen in one's peripheral vision. I am thinking of perhaps adapting it to the Porsche Cluster. Adding instruments pods to this car (uless it is a full race conversion) simply is not an option for a street car. It should not be reduced to the level of a Rice Rocket!

I have a video not sure if it violates the link laws on this board but here are a couple, you may need to save them to your hard drive to view them:

Here is another:

Pics would be great if anyone has them. I have not decided on colors yet, but here is what I am thinking of:
