instead of having your shocks absorb a dip.. leave it to your spoiler
btw
with the lip on, the car was 1 3/4" above ground
i had that spoiler on for 9 months and it saw its last day today
i need to stiffen the shocks up front...
btw, this isnt the fvd front spoiler, its the exact aerolip spoiler, except its an ebay replica

I made ramps last week from plywood to carry- I couldn't get in a friend's driveway to visit. Looking at trak- jax but they won't fit in front luggage compartment. I guess I should order an extra front lip for my new purchase.
Could some kind person please post some nice pictures of the FVD unit so when the time comes. Nothing on search. Their site is so so...
RE: sideways, I think what is meant is that you go in "turning" so you start at 45 degrees or so...the turned wheels actually raise the front of the car a tiny amount. I've been doing this so long that it is subconscious (since the modded 993 3.8).

steve, yes i come at angles sideways
i think ive perfect that art to be honest...
we're really lucky that the car has such a stiff chassis and raises the outside wheel when approaching a steep angle... helps out a lot

the stock version is full urethane so it's much more pliable.
the reproductions are fiberglass and takes a single blast to disintergrate.
I still have my stock version and it's still holding up well.
oem may cost more upfront but will save you money in the long run.

FVD type spoiler
Jeff: Here's the link to the FVD type front spoiler...I buy them from Sunset Porsche in Oregon for somewhere around $240 and shipping is reasonable. First one I bought from FVD was close to $350 and they charged me $120 for shipping from Florida!! Sunset is the place to go. The rubberized compound is pretty forgiving and takes the scrapes pretty well. I usually go thru one a year or change out when it starts looking ratty.
I have the factory aero and it looks just fine on there even tho it's black and not painted to match. good hunting.....Chuck
