ECU installation

Hello everyone,

i have just recieved my ECU back from Speedart , and since the guy who has removed the ECU from the car will be away for a while i will need your help on installing it back myself, i have a couple of questions to start with:

1) Should i connect the car's battery back before installing the ECU or After installation?

2) After installing the ECU back into the car will i need a tester or diagnostics tool to be connected to the cars diagnostics Port or should i go ahead and start the car will the car start normally after installing the ECU?

3) A DIY link showing how to install back the ECU into the car will be helpful if anyone has a link.

My car is a 2004 Manual.

Thanks,

If the battery is already disconnected, I'd connect it after the ECU is in,
but I've taken my ECU off and on again without touching the battery.
Just plug it in and go; be happy.
