Buying an Alternator in NYC

Change in venue from LA. Does anyone know where I can get an Alternator for my 2003 996TT as I will drop by next week. Prefer Bosch and do not want to pay dealers price. I will be staying in the vicinity of JFK Airport

See my post on the LA thread. MUCH better than finding a dealer in NYC that won't bend you over.... plus getting to and from any dealer in NYC will be a PITA. Sunset will save you sales tax, just pay shipping.

Right, I knew that. So why do you want to drive to a dealer? Have them ship it to your hotel.

CALL THEM. No emails. Send them a PM on this board, tell them you'll be calling... they'll take a wire transfer I'd bet if they don't like the credit card idea. Or Fed Ex COD... (Fed Ex can also hold the package at their nearest station and you can drop by in a taxi and pay cash,

Good luck
