Many pics: A recent visit to RUF
That blue looks a lot more like Mexico blue than Riviera.
BTW, referring to that same car, it's R-Turbo, not Turbo-R. The Turbo-R is actually based on the 993.
Anyway, excellent pics, that red RGT-RS is beautiful!!!

Glad you had a great trip Erik.
The RGT-RS looks great doesn't it.
I recognise Konrad in the Dyno room, as he came to my house in England to sort some settings on my car, he's a really nice guy.
I need to keep away from their factory or I'll find myself ordering an engine upgrade to Nardo or a 997 RTurbo!

oh **** dude. that RGT/RS is phenomenal looking in red! the interior is not my style because of the color scheme is kind of bright for my taste but given the personalization options that RUF offers, the whole car could be killer inside and out! i am a huge fan of the RTurbo front bumper. and a RUF 997? sounds nice. i am wondering if they'll do the Cayenne?
wonder how much the Nardo engine package is?

The reason Ruf chose to use titanium rods compared to steel was that he found, in the latest upgrade of the turbo engine, that the 612 Lb/Ft was bending the steel rods! Luckily, there was no other engine damage, and this is what prompted him to use titanium.
Yes, I believe Ruf are doing a Cayenne, though it's not quite ready yet.
Nardo package is 50,000 euros + tax, which is a huge jump in price from the 520 and 550 packages, since it requires a motor teardown and rebuild to do the work on the rods and head etc
Ruf are over-enginered as they want their products to last (as cjv said they warranty their work for 2 years) and their cars get hard sustained use on the autobahns (ie actually going 200mph and with lengthy sustained drives at high speed, such as above 150mph for several hours)

The 550 hp kit is probably the best, price-performance.
590 hp kit gives more top performance, there's a reason why they call it "Nardo."
They have a cusomter with an R Turbo that has done over 150.000 km, his daily driver I understand.
