The only other obd-ii tool I have is DashDyno. It samples 6x faster on MY06 or newer because of CAN protocol for data aquisition. It is also a generic OBD scan tool and can clear codes. Not nearly as useful as Durametric for Porsche.

Frankly the cheapies read/clear the codes just fine. I’d say go Durametric or just get a cheap generic one. The Bluetooth ones are nice once you get them working, and can integrate with lap timer apps.

agree. my 50$ actron reader has served me well. it reads the codes as the ecu believes them to be and has yet to be "wrong"...and equally important to many of us, reads "readiness" codes for the bi-annual nightmare prepping for SMOG torture.

plus when i get the occasional BS soft code "psm abs - drive to buggery" i simply clear it and fix whatever whenever necessary.

I have a barely-used Foxwell that works quite well, until I decided to spring for durametric. Let me know if you want to buy my Foxwell for a fair price. Very low miles, oil changed early and often. Sunday driver only. Never tracked. No stage 2 ignitions. :-)
