Led Tail Light Interest
Guys, here's a post that Edwin answered in another thread. Seem's they're having some trouble with them
Hopefully they'll be resolved soon and they can then go back to tyring to full fill our dreams of a good LED system for the 996TT, because they sure look great! Unfortunately he sounds frustrated with the problems and quality of the units that I assume are being made in China. Props to Edwin for not compromising quality and holding out for a good working product because they would easily be able to make a quick buck because I bet they'd sell like hotcakes. Rep points to you Edwin!

Rep points to you Edwin! The last thing I want is to have 500 sets made and have every turbo/C4s owner have that issue. My plans to find a manufacturer to make these have stalled not b/c of this but also, I've heard from another source that someone is already making the LED tails for the widebodies. In addition, it seems a lot of owners want quality products at a cheap price (<$500) and if I did that, I would have to sell A LOT to recoup my cost.
In the meantime, I'm researching doing a DIY LED rear tailight on my car to test it out. I apologize for not being able to follow through with this but financially and logistically, I can't do it at this moment.

Quality is most important for me as well. Please PM me if your LED light is ready for group buy. Thank you!
Edwin
It can not be that costly? I am certain 10 people would cover and cost and give you a profit? I am willing to pay upfront and I am certain 9 others would as well??

The problem is the tooling (paying for that upfront) and then I have to buy a minimum of 500 sets. Even at $100 a set (if that low at my cost), that's $50k and I don't think I can sell that many.
