600+ hp update
That was the first thing I noticed here on the forum. A lot of people throwing around all these big HP numbers. I think it started with all the "KITS" you can buy. I think it makes some people think they are missing something. If you haven't had your engine on an engine dyno, do you really know how much much power you have? If you know how much wheel HP it makes on a chassis dyno, thats how much it makes on THAT dyno, that day.
I would agree that 20% is being to kind. in reality probably closer to 17-18. Dynos aren't exactly perfect either.
HC even though you are using RWD mostly, all of the equipment is still there so there is loss regardless. It will never approach RWD, maybe not 20 and I agree with that b ut definitely not 15

Personally, I think it prudent to forget about flywheel estimates based on chassis dyno results.
As ttboost stated, unless the engine has been on an engine dyno, there is no accurate way to estimate flywheel numbers.
Too much conjecture about loss %'s.
(and too many inflated egos to go along with that)
Chassis dyno numbers are the best choice when comparing mods, as long as a baseline has been made.
Then simply add back the gained wheel hp to the stock flywheel rating, and you'll have a more fair estimate of flywheel hp.

Aahhh yes, the "asphalt dyno"!!!
PBox numbers DON"T lie. They all use the SAME satellites...sort of
am dying to know my real hp to the ground, but have no time to dyno guys give me an estimate. 01tt

475-500 wheel HP?
Bet your PBOX wont give you the same 60-130 @ 6000 ft in colorado as it would at sea level in VA. Not much better than the drag strip in that regard.
Bet your right!!! I don't want to find out!!!
