What is the best suspenion for GT2?

As title says above.

what a loaded, complex question

What are your goals. What are you willing to give up in the form of a harsher ride and cabin noise?

Well, more of a performance ride with some luxury feel. While lowering it.

TUUNER Oct 10, 2004 04:02 AM

You want the GT2 to be lower???

lowering that car anymore would not be an intelligent thing to do, unless you like replacing the front spoiler on a monthly basis.

Well how low is the front end? Is it low enough?

The GT2 is set at the perfect ride height for the track, and pushing impractical for the street... well, at least the streets of LA. There are too many dips for water drainage here to go any lower than that w/o running the risk of inevitably f--king the front end one day or night.

Arn't Tips even lower because of all the added weight????:D

Do you own a GT2? Perhaps you should get used to the stock handling before trying to tinker with it.

The stock suspension is head and shoulders better than a 996 Turbo with PSS-9.

You can improve a GT2 suspension through various parts... but most people will find that the handling is extremely good by just aligning the car properly. The car is extremely alignment sensitive.

Intrax, Neuspeed, Suspension Techniques, Progress!!! Those are Tyson's fav!!!!

'Performance ride' and 'luxury feel' are at opposite ends of
the possibilities. I would leave the car alone and spend money
on driving schools and track days, tires, in that order.

amen. most likely, if you just bought a GT2, unless you are a very skilled driver with many years of tracking under your belt, then you aren't even coming close to reaching the limits of the car's stock suspension yet. once you get to the level that you feel there are weaknesses in the suspension, and you can identify what they are, then you should be tweaking the suspension to improve your lap times.
