What is the plastic that you had on your cars while driving on the track? It looks like Saran Wrap. I'm interested in that whatever it is.

Doh... just read above about it... thanks!

Ken,
Great seeing you guys at the glen. Your car is wicked.
KB; you just need to get the line down, the speed will come. Don't worry about the guys behind you, just give a pass signal (like you did), people only get mad if you don't signal and bottle things up.
James, hope you got that SC leak fixed before you hit the road.
They sell that stick on stuff at the track, I didn't really like it, maybe I didn't put it on right.(25$/roll)
Daniel, that last run was awsome, we had the track to ourselves ( your TT, my c4s and my buddies viper bringing up the rear).
See you next year.
Chris

Sounds like good weather....I was Pocono with a CGT & GT2....With all the mods to your car, including those "secret parts" what were your lap times?

great time.. my supercharger felt super on the track. i was having no problems with the gt3 on the straights.

i did develop an oil leak from a hose connecting to the vortech unit. with Kens help, we slowed it down for a few extra runs. but that was risky and i chickened out and wrapped it up early on day two. car made it home on its own power. getting new aeroquip hoses installed at RPMracinginc.com this week. should be a bit better and will look bling bling...

ken maybe youll get a chance to ride with me at the next DE day for some helpful hints to take me to the next level. ill say ive improved alot this weekend. getting to really feel the suspension working was really nice.

ill be posting my pictures by tommorow..!

I couldn't really tell the times on the north course.....It really is the worst track(not really a race track) ....I can say that the CGT is similar in behavior and performance to an mid to late 90's prototype.....the tires were incredible in their grip!

Mark,

No problem. I thought you meant GT3, but I couldn't resist. Just wanted to add a little levity to the situation.

Thank you for the information. Do you think the CGT could be a viable racer in a GTS type class?

Hmmm, interesting....I don't know until I re-read the specific classifications to discover what (if any) issues there are. Usually there are some things to address.
My opinion is that it is too "dear" to run in a race and have some (many) of the "jibonies" crash into you.
If you want a Porsche that is that much of a car you may be better amused with a 962,,,the ultimate prototype that P & Co. has manufactured. It would cost less to purchase too!
I noticed that you are in L.A. Why don't you look up my close friends Randy and Dennis Aase-AASCO in L.A. They are the most experienced guy in race prep around...their experience with Porsche is legendary. M

C4S,
Glad you had a good day. I would have liked to talk with you but had to jump from car to car all day, both days!!!

James,
Anytime my friend. We will need to set up the 2005 season dates once they post them. I enjoyed getting to know Stacy and it was great to see you again. I see many track days in our future!! We are having a little drive on October 16th at Bear Mountain. Can you join us??

Great pics and writeups guys -- I just got an invite today to go to Summit Point on Nov 4th -- seeing your pics now I really can't wait!

Might have to get some of that track-wrap. Tell me more about it -- did it stay on well? Is it easy on, easy off? Any negatives to it?

Scott

Ken, I'm curious if you noticed any gains or have any impressions regarding the Gemballa sport cooler that you have.

scott, track wrap was very good in my opinion. easy to install with two people. never looks great on though always wrinkles and bubbles. but never came off. and definitely protected the car from the pebbles, dirt and bugs that were on it when i removed it. i would also recommend some thin foam and some duct tape. to do a really good job like kpv does over the head lights...
