Newbie help needed

I've been searching the forums trying to figure out what all the different turbos are and what the hybrids mean. Is there a thread (that I've missed) or a site that I can learn what the difference is between K16 and K16G or what it means to have a K24/18G hybrid and why it's better than stock? A gentle shove in the right direction for a few long nights of research and learning would be greatly appreciated.

Jason

I was wondering about that...and refrained myself from starting such thread...afraid of all these stones throwing at me for not taking advantage of the search button. Don't think there's a consolidated thread out there...stone suit on.

Use the search. Many threads discussing this. Each person has his preference and reasons.

I have been using the search. That's why I included the statment about a thread that I possibly have missed. What I've noticed reading through all of the threads is the assumption that everyone already knows what each turbo is, and they're usually just discussing the boost lag, cost benefits, etc.

But there aren't any threads that I've found that tells you technically what the difference is between the 16 and the 16G or 24's. Or what exactly is a hybrid turbo.
