The X50 is an available factory performance option package for the TT which raises the HP from 414 to 444. Different heads, turbos, intercoolers, exhaust, ECU mapping & transmission. While this option adds $17,880 to the price of a TT when ordered or new, it will only add about $5K to the value of a preowned TT. A very popular option. Standard on the 05 TT "S"along with PCCB.

While not specified in the details, most of the photos Porsche uses show heads, so I assumed that there was some difference. And YES, I do know what happens when one assumes anything! Sorry if I was incorrect on the heads.

See Porsche Press Release re: Power Kits.

This chart depicts the X50 power curve in comparison to the standard TT.
