headlight adjustment

hi,
my driver side low beam is slightly lower that pass side...probably per factory to keep beam off on coming drivers.....

i want to raise it up a bit so i can get another 15 to 20ft further like my pass side....

i noticed theres two adjustments on the HL assembly....one must be elevation , the other side/side....

can any one tell me which is which and what direction to turn those screws ?

I forgot which is which but try the lower one. Just turn the lights on against a wall/garage/etc... and adjust the screws a little bit. You'll find out which one is the vertical adjustment.

both are verticle adjustment, 1 is for entire light pod, the other for low beam alone....lol....I too forgot the order...the one up front is for fog lights. There is no side to side adjustment I can find.

The procedure is described in the owner's manual. In my case (2001), though, the manual has the directions confused, meaning that it tells you to turn it the wrong way to raise/lower. Check it while you are doing it with the beam projected on the wall to make sure that you are going the right way.

light adjustment

well, are the two adjustments accessible thru the rubber grommet? i've taken out the light pod several times but can't remember whether the two adjustments can be reached ....

it would have to be since you can't adjust the light if you can have it in there and ON while adjusting....

so, there's two adjustments....and both are for vertical.....ok...and you are saying one's for low beam only and the other is for the entire low beam assembly ?? that's weird.....

i mean, on high beam, the xenon bulb also flips up too so...what's the point of having two different verticals ? the combo raises the xenon and the halogen high beam ?!?

anymore detail on this thread ?
