The problem with the side bolsters is when you get in and out of the car and you drag your *** and your back against the bolster; that's what causes the wear. If you shift your body to the left and then stand up out of the seat, that will eliminate the rapid wear. I learned this with my truck when I bought it new in May 2007; seats still look like new; with no cracking at all.
