Can you ship a car to a hotel?

I'm thinking about taking a road trip on the West Coast for two weeks, shipping my car out there from New York, and then flying to meet it. I don't suppose a shipper will deliver the car to a hotel that I haven't checked in to yet, will they? I doubt the hotel will sign for the car, either. (I wouldn't) Maybe I could talk my Porsche dealer into working it out with another Porsche dealer? Just curious. I have to take a mandatory two week vacation, and I figure tackling the West Coast in my turbo would be fun.

you're probably better off having it delivered to a shop then the hotel if you're not going to be there....

You should drive it cross country. Stop at various tracks and drag strips along the way. Man, I would kill to have 2 weeks with no cares to enjoy the TT.

3,000 miles is enough for me. (Seattle up to Whistler,BC and then down the coast to San Fran, Los Angeles and then Vegas.) If I drove all the way out there, I'm not sure I'd ever get a chance to get out of the car.

Call your local high end dealer. Most of them know of transport companies that perform those kind of services but it is expensive. I know of a local towing company that does stuff like that for Ferraris leaving from Houston to somewhere far or from somewhere else in the states to Houston. I'm sure there are companies in New York that do that kind of thing. I've seen , I believe the name is Horseless Carriage, do many transport services for
absurdly expensive cars and park the vehicle in a safe place like valet and turn keys to valet. Enjoy the vacation.

You can ship it to me, I'd park it for you.
I'm in SF and have my own turbo to play with...

I appreciate the offer, but I want to start a bit further North. I may have to find a member in Washington. Thanks.
