Flash recognition?

I bought my 996TT used from a wholesaler back in 2008. I know the car has had a flash since it is showing 1.0 bar while WOT. How can you tell which flash? Is there some type of signature if it is UMW, GIAC etc?

Nope. Check the ECU, maybe someone marked it. Doubt it though.

Tuners have their own cyber serial numbers that they assign to their products. I consider it something like a MAC address idenfitier on a PC. I would imagine that a tuner could identify his own product, and being familiar with programming, can probably identify another tuners product. I'm sure that there's been some reverse engineering here and there. (**Disclaimer** Not to be construed as an accusation of copyrite infringement) When they tune your car, the tune imprints a product number as well as records the cyber serial number of the vehicle. Otherwise they'd have no way of tracking when they sold the tune, to which vehicle it was assigned, and be able to tie it to any other information relevant to that particular sale, like the settings of that particular tune, octane rating, altitude settings etc.

I'm speaking from a layman's point of view...Tony from EPL or Kevin from UMW; Todd from EVOMsit would be a more authoritative source than my hit-and-miss explanation.

I did buy the car in Arizona and now the car resides at 7000 feet. The car runs great and the boost levels are consistant at 1.0 bar. Is there a wideband oxygen sensor stock on the car? Would fuel mixture and boost levels adjust automatically with altitude? No complaints with the tune at all, I just want to give credit where it is due and possibly compare with another more recent tune.
