GT3 brake upgrade question

I am wondering if anyone has had issues with their hydraulic control unit after doing the GT3 brake upgrade. I did the brake upgrade this spring. I've done a few track events since then and at the last one developed a PSM/ABS failure. Dealer said it was a burned wire from the hydraulic control unit for the front brakes. Replaced the wire and it is working, but he says the wire is very hot and is wondering if either the hydraulic control unit is bad or if my car early 02 model, may have an unit that can't deal with the additional caliper fluid. Any thoughts?

I did this upgrade and have not had any problems. I was told that because of the different piston sizes, the amount of brake fluid is not different between the stock and upgraded calipers. Don't know if that is hearsay or fact.

Then that would seem to point to a bad control unit?
