Houston Owners with Wheel Spacers

I see lots of guys in here that look to be in the Houston area. I am a newbie here from a 996TT perspective.
Anyhow I am considering widening my track with 15mm spacers up front and 18mm rear. (This is what I have read sets the track to GT2 dimensions). I was hoping someone here in Houston had something like this set up on their car so I could see how this looks. (The wheel spacers I have seen on custom wheels on 993's didnt look very good at all to me).
When I look through the spoke I dont want the spacer to be noticable or awkward. If it does, then I am considering just getting the GT2 8.5/12 inch wheels but then the tires get significantly harder to find/ more expensive. I live near I-10 & Bingle so pretty central and hopefully could meet up with someone around here to get an idea.

Ken,

Sorry I can't help but I am currently running a 7mm spacer in the rear on a set of 19" wheels if you want to see. I've ran 15mm spacers in the rear without any problems (no rubbing) and it doesn't look weird in anyway
